In Episode 15 of the Confessions of a Working Mom Podcast, I’m talking to Krista Thompson, who is a full-time single working mom and a lawyer, with three kids under the age of four.
She’s been working from home during the pandemic since March and has a unique perspective on how the pandemic has affected her life.
We also dive into Krista’s experiences that have lead her to where she is today. She created the Blog Recovering Superwoman after going through an abusive relationship with her (ex)-spouse.
“Recovering Superwoman” comes from Krista’s realization that she’s recovering from having “to do it all,” so much like many of us working moms who feel the need to do “all of the things,” and be on duty 24/7.
We talk about letting go of the feeling of having to do it all, be perfect moms, and what we can do instead to find our own version of completeness as working moms.
Listen in for the full conversation!

Check out the guest post Krista wrote for The Working Mom Collective:

Krista L Thompson resides in Orlando, FL where she is employed as the Associate General Counsel for Airbus OneWeb Satellites, a joint venture that mass manufactures low earth orbit satellites. She is a full time, single mom of 3 kids: Nico (4), Gabriella (2.5), and Milana (1).

I’m a working mom, blogger, podcaster + side hustler, helping you through this crazy and imperfect road of working motherhood!
I had a dream after my daughter was born (she just turned 5!) to create a life and career that I love, while being present for my family.
I didn’t think that as working moms we should have to choose between having a career we love and an engaged and present family life.
The Working Mom Collective Blog was created out of my dream, and now I’ve taken it a step further and put the Confessions of a Working Mom Podcast out into the world!
My mission has become to help other working moms pursue their dreams, whatever they may look like (I’m not judging – You have to do what makes YOU happy mama!)
If I can reach just one other mama and show her there is a better way to pursue your career goals while raising your family, then I will consider myself successful.
Now let’s tackle this sometimes hectic, but AMAZING journey of working motherhood together!
Love,
