The Subtle Magic of Going All in on Your Dreams

A Day at the Museum and Magical Unexpected Northern Lights Displays

I decided I’m going to call this from now on “The Subtle Magic of Going All In On Your Dreams” because while the motions of each day seem subtle, and it seems like I’m living so-called “normal” days, the magic and intention behind my days has been FREAKING MAGICAL and EPIC.

So this journey is so much more than a daily blog post to keep up on; it’s actually a major MINDSET shift and I cannot wait to see what transpires as we continue on this journey!

Today I decided to keep Emma out of school and take her to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. It was a total last minute decision and I thought it would be a fun activity for us to do together.

I suspended disbelief that it was the right decision – now some of you may be thinking it’s not good to keep kids out of school but I have a different mindset on that. I could write a whole separate blog post explaining my mindset, but I’ll save that for another day.

In the morning we packed our lunch and jumped in the car to make the hour drive to the city.

When we arrived we started exploring the museum and I let Emma guide me to where she wanted to go. I always love allowing her to use her intuition to guide us – I make decisions so frequently so it’s nice to just have her choose and have it be a day where she guides me. And it’s so good for her to be able to practice her decision-making skills and intuitive abilities. And to get to do fun activities she chooses.

We first went to an exhibit that had all different types of weather scientific phenomena explained, and she got to be a helper in the Tornado Vortex exhibit which was really cool. It made me think of the Vortex saying that Abraham Hicks always says.

“The vortex is the place where all dreams and hopes and wishes are held. Your Vortex is where all your desired manifestations are vibrationally before they manifest in the physical realm. It is a term for alignment to Source energy.”

Being in the vortex means you’re at one with who you really are, you’re feeling fab, and in vibrational alignment to your desires. It’s represented by feelings like enthusiasm, inspiration, passion, joy, and appreciation.

Being out of the vortex means you’re energetically kinked, not letting in the good stuff you’ve been calling in. It often feels frustrated, hopeless, fearful, or angry.

So anyways, she was in this vortex exhibit and it was really cool because as the kids would walk in the same direction that the vortex was circulating, the vortex would keep circulating (it looked kind of like vapors in the air moving around in a tornado shape.)

When the kids walked in the opposite direction, against the vortex, you would see the vortex stop and the tornado vapors would slow down.

So if you flow in the natural direction of your dreams, hopes and wishes, the vortex keeps flowing. If you push against what your inner self is desiring, against your dreams, hopes and wishes, then the vortex slows down to a stop.

Hmm… Kinda like how manifestation works.

When you flow and allow yourself to naturally move in the direction you’re being called to, things flow smoother. 

When you resist the natural direction and resist so much that the resistance becomes painful, you notice that what you desire does not flow to you so easily. 

I have a video of the vortex and I’m going to attempt to embed it here in the blog post so you can see exactly what I’m referring to.

It was really powerful to see that and apply to the concept of dreams being inevitable if we only allow the constant flow of the vortex and do not resist, do not force, do not go against the natural flow of things, the natural order of the universe.

I love observing things like this in science that also apply within spirituality. It makes it so much easier to see the two intersecting and not so hard to grasp why science and manifestation go hand-in-hand. And why the natural order of the universe is a testament to the power we all hold within ourselves to manifest our desires.

Baby Chick Hatchery

After the Vortex experiment, we made our way over to the genetics lab area where they have a baby chick hatchery. And to our surprise, a baby chick was actually hatching while we were there. It was getting ready to come out of its shell, literally. We stood there watching for a good 20 minutes while it slowly broke its way out into the world.

What was incredible is that the baby chick almost straightaway tried to get up and walk over to its siblings who were nearby under the heat lamps. 

We were both in complete awe and amazement of the miracle of new life before us.

We continued to explore the museum afterwards and stopped at a 727 airplane (it’s an actual United Airlines Boeing 727 plane that is hung suspended in the museum building.)

On the luggage that was next to the exhibit, I glimpsed “LHR” – London Heathrow – which is the airport I’ll be flying into next week for my mini trip to the UK. More signs and synchronicities coming through!

Inevitable Dreams of Vet and Animal Rescues

After leaving the museum on the drive home, we were driving through the streets of Chicago to get back to the expressway and Emma noticed there was a little stray dog, a Chihuahua, and she started getting really upset because this Chihuahua did not have a collar and seemed to be lost or without an owner walking down the sidewalk.

She really, really wanted to help this chihuahua and save it. I told her it probably wasn’t a good idea to stop in the city and argue with anybody about a stray dog. I just didn’t want to get into that.

So she cried in the car for like 10, 15 minutes down the expressway and it turned into a conversation around her wanting to be a vet and open her own vet clinic and animal rescue.

And I said, well, that’s a very good way to turn your passion into a purpose, right? 

So you really are passionate about saving these animals, so why not open a business to help save the animals? That was really cool to have that conversation about turning our passions into a purpose and doing something about things we feel strongly about. 

The whole time getting to the expressway I kept saying to myself, “traffic will go well, traffic will be smooth, we will not get stuck.” 

Traffic will be positive, traffic will flow smoothly as we’re getting out of the city. 

And it did go pretty smoothly.

It was a little backed up until I57, the expressway that takes us all the way back south from the city, but then it opened up after that.

And so it only took like an hour to get home, which I was super happy with because it has taken upwards of two and a half hours sometimes to get home from the city. 

So I just kept positively reinforcing suspending disbelief that it would only take that amount of time and it happened.

The Northern Lights Spectacular 

For the main big event on Friday night, we had been hearing for days upon days that this big solar storm was happening and that potentially portions of the United States that had never seen the Northern Lights before would get to see the Northern Lights for the first time in some cases. And so we were watching it, watching it, and it turned out the solar weather was correct for this condition to happen. And it was a little cloudy, but we all monitored it and were very hopeful that we’d actually get to see the Northern Lights for the very first time in all of our lives.

Emma and I were waiting for the sun to go down because they said after sunset was going to be one of the best times to view the northern lights. 

After Mike returned home from his 12-hour shift at the firehouse we all packed up and got ready, got in the car and just started driving south out of town towards the darker corn fields outside of the light pollution from town.

At first we didn’t see anything and then we turned to drive down this gravel road and as our eyes adjusted to the darkness, there they were!

THE NORTHERN LIGHTS!!

WE ALL LOOKED and STARTED to see the bands of purple and green and pink and all the bands OF COLORS coming down out of the sky. And it was the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen.

We don’t usually see the Northern Lights this far south. We’ve never visited a destination to see them. So just seeing this ten minutes from our home was super incredible, magical, spiritual, connected, just all of the things. I was definitely speechless and taking it all in.

We got out of the car and started looking closer and could see the waves of different colors coming down in bands from the sky. To the south you could see the purples and the pinks and those coming down from above. We stayed out there for a good half an hour and took a bunch of pictures. It was seriously amazing.

I suspended disbelief earlier in the day. I posted a story on my Instagram saying today I will get my dream of seeing the Northern Lights in my area where I live. I suspended disbelief, and I put that out into the universe and it happened.

BAM. Proof that this whole experiment works. I should say “more proof.” Because the proof is adding up each and every day as time goes on.

So then we get home, and we’re pulling into the driveway and Mike goes, “look, look, look, you can actually see the lights right above our house!”

He gets out of the car and he runs to the street and sure enough, you can see the pink and the purple stripes coming down right above our house in town which I was surprised by because I thought you couldn’t see the lights if there were street lights around and light pollution.

The fact we could see the Northern Lights right above our house was beyond incredible. We snapped some more pictures and were in awe.

We all kind of settled in after that and they said there might be another chance to see them at two, three in the morning. So Mike actually set an alarm to wake up.

I told him that if he seen something cool to wake me up. 

3am rolls around and he goes to wake me up saying it’s amazing outside. The birds are singing. 

And I was half asleep and so, so tired from the solar flares so I didn’t realize he was saying “go look at the Northern Lights. They’re amazing.”

If you know me, you know I am a HEAVY sleeper, and if I’m in a deep sleep it’s really hard to get me up and going (yes, even if I actually get out of bed, haha.)

He did slightly mention that he could see the lights, but I looked out the window and I didn’t see anything (so I guess my suspending disbelief goes out the window a bit at 3am, hahahaha..) And I was so exhausted from the past few days and the energy of the solar flares so I decided to crawl back in bed.

He got some incredible pictures with stars and Northern Lights in the background, but I decided that it was his moment and I was happy he got to experience that.

So that was day 12, Friday, May 10th with the Northern Lights dream manifesting before my eyes.

I had no idea that one week prior I was going to get to see the Northern Lights right outside my house in my town; if you would have told me that a week ago I would have laughed at you!

I realized that I manifested seeing the northern lights. I declared that I was gonna see them and it actually came true. I suspended all disbelief in seeing the Northern Lights Friday Night.

And just like that; just like magic. My desire came true.
